Popular false ideas concerning the Biblical Canon

There are hordes of guys out there, particularly in internet, claiming a lot of stuff and ideas to be true. It may be alternative History claims, Philosophies mixing Christian teachings with New age, black Israel etc. There are also some self appointed experts who seem to know it all, disregarding literally 2 thousand years of research and discussions on the subject of Jesus Christ and his teachings. This also concern views of the Bible and the church.

It is popular to claim that Christianity, and thus also the New Testament, was created by the Roman Empire. And that Christ was actually just a fiction that was imported from other old Religions.
However, this false idea is of a relatively new date, and has been spread among others by books such as the DaVinci Code.

The Biblical Canon was only settled in the Church council of Nicea in 325 AD?

Without proper references, and certainly without scientific proof, they would for example discredit the Bible and make it a late creation of the Roman Empire. It is claimed that Rome decided what should be included in the Bible, and what should NOT be included.
This idea totally ignores centuries of theological work done - and preserved in writings - all the way back to the second century AD. There is so much REAL scientifical literature about this, that if you are seriously interested, you may spend years going through it all.

Here are just a few words from a book worth reading about the subject:

"The popular idea that a council of bishops, perhaps at Nicaea, restricted the holy books of the church in order to suppress dissident literature cannot find support in the evidence available to us... the earliest new testament lists show that a great deal of the work was done before Athanasius... Athanasius secured his place in this history because he put all the pieces together in a list... The Fourfold Gospel was widely - not universally - accepted from the end of the second century."

(The Biblical Canon Lists from early Christianity: Texts and Analasys.  Edmond L. Gallagher and John D. Meade. Oxford University Press, 2017)

If you want to read more about this, you should select credible sources. I found a site where John Meade discusses this in more details:

It is very important for all of us to be sure about what the truth really is. And to do that, I will encourage you to first of all immerse yourself into the Holy Bible - preferably a version that is based on Textus receptus greek manuscripts, like the King James version, or the preceding Bible translation made by leading protestant theologians during the 16th century: The Geneva Bible.
But whatever you do, just get another bible version for starters, if you do not have access to the before mentioned versions in your own language. Read the New Testament, the words and teachings of Jesus the Messiah, and then proceed through the book of Acts, the epistles of Paul, James, John, Peter and Jude all the way through the Revelation.
The devil is so scared that you will dive into those wonderful Scriptures, that he tries to create all kinds of distractions to keep you away from them. And, if he can not keep you away, at least he wants to create skepticism and doubts, as he has done from the very beginning:

Has God really said?

If you are a seeker of truth and of God, being humble and open minded, surely you will find that the teachings of Jesus and his apostles way surpass any other religious or philosophical literature.

Why loose time and heart by first read all those fairy tales and lies made to keep you at a distance from God, when you can instead enjoy truth and eternal life from this day forward, by reading the Gospel of Christ, which is the power of God unto salvation for all those that believe!
Ask Jesus in prayer to forgive you of all your sins, call upon his name for salvation. Let his Spirit fill you,  so you can be born again by the Word, the Spirit and the Blood of Jesus.
Then get baptized by full immersion in water.

Stay away from traditional organized christendom, as they have usually fallen away from the truth long time ago, following doctrines of men and devils rather than obeying the Teachings of Jesus and the apostle Paul.
You do not need a mediator, like a priest or a pastor, and certainly not Mother Mary!
Let the Word from the Bible be the light on you path in this present darkness, and seek fellowship with true born again humble believers who follow Jesus only, not any pastor or church council.
